So... Homework is usually mostly dreadful. I mean except for those few people who enjoy it. To each their own. Imagine my surprise when the first few assignments were actually kind of interesting and totally unexpected.
1. Make a blog. Never expected that. Making this blog actually turned out pretty fun and talking to a blog is a new experience. It's a lot different than talking to friends on facebook or through the phone. I guess it's kind of like a twitter but instead longer tweets.
2. Write a summary of your favorite story under 150 words. When I started writing, I got so into my favorite story that I went beyond by probably over 100 words. I had to do a lot of shortening and getting rid of essential details. I guess quality is better than quantity but I think if I could've writen a little more, the quality would've been loads better. Not complaining, it was still fun!
3. Greeting strangers. This was probably the hardest assignment of them all. My speech teacher wanted us to talk to strangers but I'm not a very good people person. However, I tried my best and mostly failed. Most of the people I greeted either totally ignored me or just gave me the funniest looks and looked at me as if I were crazy. What has this world come to?! But in all seriousness, I probably would've acted the same way if I were in those people's shoes. But this assignment really opened my eyes and I've decided that if someone does randomly decide to greet me, I'll greet them back. (I mean as long as they're not total creeps. O.o)
Not all homework assignments are boring and horrible. Guess you just have to learn from them like you're supposed to and try to have as much fun as you possibly can.
